Louise Bourgeois: The Fabric Works

You may now Louise Bourgeois from her sculptures that are installed all over the world. Her most famous are the towering spiders, one of which is in our city of San Francisco. With knowing her previous works, we were excited to find out that she ventured out of her usual medium and explored the world of fabric design (just we discovered about Frank Lloyd Wright in our post last week!) Above are some of her creations, where she used unusual color combos and pieced together multiple patterns that offers different dimensions. As textiles designers, we truly appreciate when great artists like Louise Bourgeois spend time in our world.
