Lindsay Segal Style

Found on the lovely site of Refinery29, this apartment is full of so much whimsy. With the crisp, white walls as her blank canvas, Chicago girl Lindsay Segal displays her vintage treasures that range from patterned plates to robot replicas. In seeing her place, it only makes sense that Lindsay is behind a site called LuxuryGarageSale.com. The name says it all, it is a special online place to sell (and find) gently used (but still quite special, we might add) items. Check, check, check it out!!

Louis Reith

Louis Reith exhibit is coming to San Francisco! His pieces will be shown at Needles & Pens in September and we are so excited to check it out. We love Louis Reith's work because of his composition with simple shapes and his bold mix up with different mediums. "Mountains" made of maps? Yes, please! You can see more of his work on his site as well as his upcoming exhibit travels. Exploring there is how we found out about the stop in San Fran. Needles and Pens is a pretty nifty shop, well worth checking out as well. This is an affordable, ecclectic space in the Mission District that talented artsy folks can display their zines, DIY goods, and of course art!

Pierre Frey

Pierre Frey masters vintage in today's world of decorating. A lot of modern home lover's tend to shy away from this design house because of it's rich history of traditional patterns. Well, we found some fabulous fabric prints and wallpaper designs that are sure to please people with all sorts of decorating tastes. Even Pierre Frey's own magazine publication has an article about the modern-lover's hesitating to see their archives. Read here to see the treats they have that were created in the past, but are clean, graphic, and forward.

Pucci Book

Posting on Dries Van Noten's splendid project of offering up their archival prints to make your very own mixed print frock, got us inspired to look for other ways designers are representing their prints from the past. Pucci has a beautiful (and huge) book featuring where they've been in the world of print design. It features their vintage looks and explains the inspiration behind them. What inspired Pucci back then are still influential today, and this is why we love this book. To top it off, this book can will look so good on our bookshelves, as each one is bound with a different, recent Pucci print. Check out some recent Pucci on the runway here.

Erik Jones Inspired

1. Anthropologie 2. Design Within Reach 3.Vouge Knitting 4. Scotch Naturals 5. Modcloth

We haven't down a collage in a while, so we thought we would do one! This little diddy was inspired by the work of Erik Jones. Most known for his comic book art, in  his way with a brush paints eery and dreamy art with a unique edge. We hand chose one of his paintings, then picked items from home decor and fashion that we felt emulated the look and feel of this piece. We want all these things and are putting them on our wish lists immediately, hey maybe in getting them we will channel the awe and attitude that we get from Erik Jones' work.

We heart Proud Mary. They create hand made, eco-friendly, not to mention good lookin' accessories for you and your home. Their dinner menus are hand painted with potatoes, making them all beautiful and unique. (We have posted about DIY before and that is such a fun project to do on your next lazy day.) Proud Mary has been growing since they started and are working all over the world producing their earth conscience, artfully designed textiles. We look forward to continue following their success and checking back for new product and to be honest...staring at their beautiful photo spreads on line. They really paint a picture, don't they!
