Trip to ABC

We recently were in New York and of course made a trip to the fabulous everything store of ABC Carpet and Home. While there, we fell in love with these beautiful bird plates. Must have been thinking ahead to Thanksgiving!

Desire to Dine

This dining area was spotted on Desire To Inspire and we desire to dine here. This Connecticut home was designed by an Amsterdam-based firm and we love what they had to say about this space, so we thought we'd share: "Inspired by Rustic Luxury and essential beauty found in simple things, every space within the Wilton Residence exudes openness, personality and playful sophistication."

Guess what? More geo shapes! This time, these brilliant angles have been introduced to a brilliant bulb. These lamps are so great, we want them all! We found them on svpply, where we are building our very own collection of our must-haves and these have made the list!

Judy Ross Rugs

Your feet will thank you with these funky patterned rugs from Judy Ross. The one in the middle is our favorite. Or maybe the one to the left. Or maybe... Oh heck, they all would be welcome in our homes!

We thought we would finish out our colorful week with the ultimate color...white. These rooms all have such an impact on the eye with their composition on decor and they all kept the walls crisp, clean, and white! Happy Friday!

Lindsay Segal Style

Found on the lovely site of Refinery29, this apartment is full of so much whimsy. With the crisp, white walls as her blank canvas, Chicago girl Lindsay Segal displays her vintage treasures that range from patterned plates to robot replicas. In seeing her place, it only makes sense that Lindsay is behind a site called LuxuryGarageSale.com. The name says it all, it is a special online place to sell (and find) gently used (but still quite special, we might add) items. Check, check, check it out!!

Homes, Colors, and the Sponge

We have done a post on Lauren Willhite's work found on her very awesome blog, The Color Collective. This time, we discovered her in a whole new setting...being a feature writer on Design Sponge. There, she showcases fabulously decorated and unique spaces of some pretty creative peeps. She shows the spaces, creates a beautiful color palette, and hand picks like items to have for your own home! We just loved this space, Lauren Naimola's, of Dear Golden on Etsy. Vintage Britain Inspired Design

This collection of prints was created by Nancy Straughan and inspired by The Festival of Britain in the 50's. We definitely feel like she succeeded in her efforts of vintage feel, yet modern design.

Beautiful Spaces: A Design Inspired Home

We found this fantastic home on the style files. Stylish indeed! This Swedish space is owned by interior designer Marie Olsson Nylander. The pieces that combine to create such a mix of character are found all over and even designed by Marie herself. I wonder if she would let us come visit?

We found an amazing collage of botanically inspired items and just had to repost! The lovely blog of Wit and Delight found such great floral items in such a soft and calming color palette. Truly inspired by her choices, we found a few more beautiful botanical items to add to the mix. Enjoy!
