Fall into Plaid

Fall is coming, which means it is time for red leaves, school, and PLAID! We just love the infinite combinations of plaid patterns and colors. I'm thinking to dress lumberjack chic today and pull on my beanie, boots, and of course, plaid button up.

We found these fantastic fabric designs on But Does It Float, a great place to find original design. They were created by Gunta Stölzl, a person we are sure to follow and find more about based on these lovely works.

Beautiful screen prints from Summersville on Etsy. You can use these textured patterns for whatever your heart desires. Check out her site and start thinking of what to use these wonderful screen prints for. Hurry...before the lion takes them all.

We thought we would finish out our colorful week with the ultimate color...white. These rooms all have such an impact on the eye with their composition on decor and they all kept the walls crisp, clean, and white! Happy Friday!

Booooooom! is the fantastic site of where we found the stunning artwork of Lisa Congdon. Her mix of colors, prints, and textures fits right in to what we love and should definitely be posted on our blog! The site is full of other talented artists like Lisa and we can't wait to explore more! 

Gorman Love

 

We are feeling bright, cheery, and a little quirky this week. Well, with how we feel, is how the new Gorman collection is. We want everything! Sarah especially likes the cheetah print yellow dress. She even added it to her  Svpply. Check it out...her dream list is growing!

Caitlin McGauley Prints

Her illustration style is sought out from well known designers and products from all over, but most recognizable is probably Caitlin McGauley work for Kate Spade. So colorful and full of whimsy, her paint strokes are beautiful and mesmerizing.

Lonny Mag Color

 

Lonny magazine is great. We especially loved their "Crazy For Color" feature. Umm...recognize the fabulous print in the Gold section? Yeah, that's right, it's a Pierre Frey print. Font Love

LA Renegade Craft Fair

We absolutely love when The Renegade Craft Fair comes to our fare city. From our visit back in December, we met a ton of fantastic artists, many of who we were able to interview for our blog. Check them out in our "Interviews of People we Love" section! In July, they came again and then headed off to LA. Here are some items that caught our eye that were featured down in SoCal.

Rubber Stamp Love

 We love stamps. All sorts of stamps...postage, travel, rubber (not tramp). Postage and travel tributes will come later, but today, it's all about rubber stamps! Combined with ink and paper, these stamps create a uniquely imperfect, look of depth and texture. These little diddys were found on the lovely sight of pinterest. Go out and discover or make your own! Here's to you rubber stamps!

Leifsdottir for Anthro

 

 Anthropologie's campaign for Leifsdottir is stunning! We stumbled upon it while doing our way too frequent, yet not frequent enough stop to online shopping land. Much like that magical place that we love, the dream-like, painterly look of this campaign is a perfect match for the beautiful clothes. If you are unfamiliar with the brand, check out this great article featuring the designer behind the looks. These amazing images do the clothes justice for sure!

San Fran Interiors

We love San Francisco and we love good interior design. So we couldn't wait to share our latest website find. These stylish interiors were found on the city by the bay's signature home decor sight...Niche Interiors. The one above is of a Nob Hill apartment. We love the cool walls paired with the bright hits of red orange.

This beautiful mix of modern and rustic is in a North Beach condo. We would describe this space as clean and cheerful!

This post started out as a "Random Love" installment featuring the beautiful, painterly, geometric print found on Society6. We liked staring at it so much that we thought we would find some similar images that  treat your eyes to a "blurry", yet dramatic image. The bottom two were quite the discovery, and there are many more where they came from on Crowquills.com, and were created by Andy Gilmore. The online store selling these prints is perfectly named as the Ghostly Store, as we find his work hauntingly beautiful.
