Artists We Love: The Talented Rebekah Ginda
German Designer Rebekah Ginda finds the the perfect balance between whimsy and line work in her incredibly detailed illustrations and print designs. She's one of the few artists I know who manage to combine black linework with the most delicate of color palettes to create a fantastic balance in her pieces. Her arts dream like qualities have me head over heals in love! She has just opened a fab store at Dwanda where you can shop for her journals and stationery at: www.dawanda.com/shop/raebekah For more samples of her fabulous art work check out her site at: www.rebekahginda.com and her Facebook page: www.facebook.com/rebekahgindadesign

Our Favorites from Playtime NY
Playtime NY, a tradeshow for everything "kid" related, went off without a hitch last week. While we weren't able to go, thanks to their site, we were still able to scout out the brands that were there. Here are a few of our favorites. Sweet and serene frocks in soft colors from Caramel Baby&Child, Playful prints and texture mix-ups from Kico Kids, and artful and comical embroideries from Coral & Tusk.

Its the second week of the month and we are once more focusing on Children print and textile inspiration! Today we decided to tackle one of the most infamous kids themes: The Circus. Its a perennially great story, its bright and cheery colors would make any line of clothing or fabric stand out at a store. Unfortunately its also very easy for this theme to look dated if not handled properly. Above is a collection of great art, garments and prints that beautifully represent our favorite circus memories while keeping it fresh and modern. I also love the trend in color story. Greys and muted colors allow for reds and blacks to pop. Also note the lovely mustard yellow balancing out the whimsical nature of the theme. Circus Circus done right!
