Good morning! The organic movement in these vintage designs really caught my eye. I love how they look like something you would see under a microscope.

Lucienne Day

Images found on PrintandPattern

We are running with our theme of the week, so today we thought we would feature the works of Lucienne Day. Mastering the art of modernism and bringing the UK new light after World War II, Lucienne Day is a fundamental name in textile design.

Spanish Moss Vintage

We have posted about our love of vintage before (like this one), but just like a fabulous vintage find, this one is sure to be an original! This is a tribute to fabulous and printed vintage frocks found on Spanish Moss. The colors, patterns, and textures are oh so inspiring. This stylish online spot also sells new, but we can't get enough of the character and attitude of the old. To see more, check out their site here!

Lindsay Segal Style

Found on the lovely site of Refinery29, this apartment is full of so much whimsy. With the crisp, white walls as her blank canvas, Chicago girl Lindsay Segal displays her vintage treasures that range from patterned plates to robot replicas. In seeing her place, it only makes sense that Lindsay is behind a site called LuxuryGarageSale.com. The name says it all, it is a special online place to sell (and find) gently used (but still quite special, we might add) items. Check, check, check it out!!

Off the Runway: Emilio Pucci

Last week, we did a post on treasured vintage clothing. One of the dresses we showed, was done by famed fashion designer, Emilio Pucci. The fashion house is as relevant as ever, without loosing the signature Pucci bold look. Here are some of those looks from his Spring and Fall 2011/2012 lines. The use of  color, dramatic silhouettes, and of course, eye-popping prints are sure to be admired for many years to come.

Inspired by vintage

Vintage Pucci

From the closet of our favorite stylist: Beth Jones

Vintage found on Etsy

Since our first post today was all about reusing materials to create a bold statement piece, while making it functional, we thought it would be appropriate to round out the day with a post on the eco-est of  eco-friendly fashion. (Is that even a word?) Anyway, what we are showcasing here is vintage clothing. What's more earth friendly than something that didn't take any new materials to make? Not only is vintage green, but is it ever inspiring. These amazing pieces from the 60's and 70's are beautiful works of art, meant to inspire for future generations of printed frocks destined to fabulous vintage finds as well.

Did you travel for the holidays? If you made it to your destination on time, congrats. If not, were you close to a strong cocktail? Here's hoping. We have heard many a horror story for traveling this year. We just wanted to take this time and focus on the pretty side of it, vintage suitcases! Here are some of our favorite finds. These beautiful sets of luggage should give you some serenity before braving it all again to make the trek back home.
