Vintage Starburst Pans

Apparently we are in the cooking mood with all the lovely kitchen ware we are discovering. If we had these vintage baking sheets, we would always be in the kitchen...staring at them. We found these on whit and whistle via I'm Revolting. Check out what other goodies those sites have!

Paige Morse Styled Home

We were immediately drawn to the decor of this home and not just because of the beautiful patterns hanging from the walls! Found on the always lovely Design Sponge, Paige Morse's styled home has not only inspired us, but introduced us to her great blog as well. P.S. entomology is one of our many obsessions. Bugs are teeming with design inspiration!

Judy Ross Rugs

Your feet will thank you with these funky patterned rugs from Judy Ross. The one in the middle is our favorite. Or maybe the one to the left. Or maybe... Oh heck, they all would be welcome in our homes!

One of our daily stops is B. Jones Style, and last week she had a fantastic, or should I say, PRINTASTIC post. We are so thrilled to see fashionable people we admire have a soft spot for amazing printed clothing. We just had to repost some of her amazing finds. Check out some of her choices she showcased on her blog, mixed in with a few of our own lovely printed items found on Style.com and in March's issue of Elle Magazine. According to these places, it's the era of prints. Style even went as far as calling the trends for this Spring a "Print Revolution." Textile designers...rejoice!

Gails Spring Wish List

I love spring! Its the beginning of bright fun prints! Here are some of my early wish list loves.
First up, I love this bathing suit found at Mod Cloth. The classic cut paired with such a fun print makes it a must have item this year. Orla Kiely's sketchy and fun fruit print, brings whimsy to this classically mouse grey dress hitting a perfect summery balance. Next is Stella McCartney's fabulous trench covered with botanical illustrations. A gorgeous re-interpretation of the classics it is livened up by the usage of large white spaces and large scale. And Finally we have a bit of home with Studio Cochineal's Peanut table. If you havent checked out their mod furniture jump on over to their site for some great pieces. I like that though they went with a green tint the wood grain pattern is still visible for a beautiful popping effect. The dips sanded down in the table are a bonus to this great design!

A Salute to Tucker by Gaby Basora

This week, we are saluting the flirty prints of Tucker. We feel that when wearing Tucker, you can embrace every side of your beautiful womanhood. There's the strong and determined, the sexy temptress, and the sweet, yet sassy. So go forth, wear Tucker, and be all the woman you can be.

From reference to print sketch idea

Following last Fridays posts inspiration in patterns in nature, I have for you a small sample of nature to textile print design process. The picture is of a beautiful mushroom purchased at the Farmers Market. I love the overlapping curves of mushrooms, it gives its form a very petal like feel without screaming "flower". I played around with this idea and adapted it into a classic rose fabric layout. It was a nice piece to create for fun.

Knits to Smile About

We found these fun-loving knit items through The Look See blog. In using our great journalistic research skills (aka...reading) we found out that these colorful knits were made by Annie Larson. We just love her use of interesting patterns and color combinations. Her photos are pretty great too! To see more..and shop! Go to her site.

Prints and Patterns in Nature

Its Friday, and what better way to start the weekend than by getting inspired. I tend to take a massive amount of photographs of textures and patterns in nature, the way they overlap, intersect and create a beautiful whole picture by the sum of its different parts fascinates me. Here are some of my favorite coral and shell pieces. Enjoy!

Paper Print Perfection

We found these dreamy designs on the lovely little blog of Cafe Cartolina. From that site, we learned this was the art of Grady McFerrin. You can find his designs on paper products, ranging from journals to sticky notes. You can find more at Chronicle Books.
