Lucky's Pattern Play

While flipping through the pages of the most recent Lucky Magazine, we found this playful, pattern-filled photo shoot that reminded us of the quirky, yet beautiful book, Animal House by Catherine Ledner. A while back we did a fun post on that book in our "What's on Our Coffee Table" feature. Check it out here! Anywhoo, back to the Lucky spread...like animal house, we just love the vintage floral wallpapers as a backdrop to suck bold and modern clothing prints. The drastic contrast between the two is so wonderful we  just had to share!

Leeloo

Good Fortunes!

One amazing magazine

Pear pillow!

Lauren Carney Original

Found through Indie GoGo, Leeloo.com is a blog/store featuring artists from down under. Now, we don't live there, but some other pretty awesome people do! Like Lauren Carney, someone we featured way back, and someone we still adore! There is so much goodness on that site, but we just grabbed a few faves to feature in hopes you will be intrigued and check out the site yourself! Have fun!

Indie GoGo

Last week we posted about the fab Free Time Industries. This got us thinking...what a great idea to have a place for independent designers not only have more press by featuring themselves Indie GoGo, but also be able to receive donations through them. So, we decided to feature them as our "charity of the month", although we like to think of it as paying it forward for amazing designs to come. Ingenious ideas and ever-flowing creativity is not the problem for the designers, film producers, musicians that you find on Indie GoGo, it's the funds that keeps them from being able to share everything they have. What a great resource they have found in this company!

Let Them Make Cake

This one is our favorite!

What goes good with tea?! Hmmm....CAKE! These beautifully designed desserts were discovered through the lovely life and design blog of Black Eiffel, who worked on creating the branding for the company who made them. This edible art was made by Nine Cakes, who "have a passion for food and handcrafted goods..."and you can definitely tell. Our favorite is the ombre lines, the color fade and overlay creates such an amazing treat for the eyes. We are now in the works to throw a fantastic party just so we can have one of these!

Cups for Tea

We are jumping the pond a bit today and featuring the lovely world of tea cups. Vintage, girly, bold, modern, or illustrated, these home essentials have endless possibilities to displaying your style. The illustrations that we have found not only showcase different personalities within the cups for tea, but different techniques and mediums used to create them for our viewing pleasure. Hopefully these designs will inspire you to sip you tea from your favorite cup (we know you have one) and paint, doodle, draw or paste. I suppose you coffee drinkers can join in the fun as well. ; ) Cheerio!

Found in our fabric bookstore, these patterns and more have been printed in a delightful package of notecards for you to share you love of design with anyone you would like!
