Leandro Dominguez

Found on Miss Moss

It's been so chilly here lately, so I've been looking for cozy things to wrap up in. Leandro Dominguez's collection is perfect! Amazing autumn-esque colors and themes (a fox!) are helping me cope with this crummy weather. Happy Weekend!

Slanted Mansion

Found on Miss Moss

Designer and photographer Siobhan Frost created Slanted Mansion, a place where he shows off the spaces of creative people all over the world. This is the home and studio of Isabel Garcia Calvo, co-founder and fashion designer of T H E M. Maybe someday Ma Okyo's space will be showcased on this fantastic site!

General Store

I would like to go here, please! These are insider looks from the General Store, located in good ol' San Fran. I love the way they set up these photos on the website. It has me itching to go.

Afton Hakes + Gretchen Jones

Gretchen Jones S/S 2012

Gretchen Jones A/W 2011

I discovered through Ilana Kohn's blog that Gretchen Jones (my favorite Project Runway winner) teamed up with graphic designer Afton Hakes for some of her textile designs for her S/S 12 and A/W 11 lines. Afton does a lot of art direction, so it was interesting to see her design prints for Gretchen's collections.

Ilana Kohn

These scarves are from Ilana Kohn, a designer that is based and produces all her product out of Brooklyn, NY. These prints, from her A/W 2011 collection were done by using a marbling technique that Ilana actually teaches classes on how to do it. Something fun to do next time we are in NY? Oh, and check out her blog. She has some great behind the scenes posts. I love the collections she listed for her Spring inspiration.

Oh Louis

Images found on Glitter Guide

This is the home of Maya Brenner, an LA jewelry designer. I love the mix of natural elements with pops of bright colors.  The framed Louis Vuitton scarf is beautiful with the logo explosion filling the continents. I think it's a really fun idea. P.S. Read the poem in the bottom picture. Super cute!

Japanese Textiles

I found this Japanese textile on pinterest. It had a great description of Katazome, a traditional Japanese dye technique using a stencil. Thought it would be something interesting to research more of and try out!
